Which is more effective for weight loss, riding a stationary bike or walking with light weights?

I have been power walking a mile using 2 pound weights, and I have incorporated some kicking, and knee lifts while doing the mile, but I have recently gotten an exercise bike and have been doing a few miles on that. My question is which exercise is more effective for long-term weight loss, and toning?

The weights in combo with the cardio. Mucle burns 8 times more calories than fat.

So, the power walk plus weights will help you more than the stationary bike, unless you pedal like Lance Armstrong.

WARNING: riding stationary bikes for a long time cause you to have HUGE calves due to the muscle, but it is really toned, so whatever floats your boat…

i would try both. maybe walking 3x a week, biking 3x a week, with a day of rest, and good nutriotion is important too. good luck
